The push mowers are nice that way. Plus they're less expensive to operate, require less maintenance, take up less storage space, are better for the grass, and force a bit of exercise on you. The only real drawback to them is you gotta be religious about cutting the grass. If you get delayed cutting because of rain or other obligations so that the grass gets tall, then they're a real pain in the shorts to use, assuming you can use one at all. With a power mower, you can just terrorize the lawn no matter what whenever you want. That's a big plus. Mowing your own lawn is fun and rewarding at first, but it quickly becomes a chore that you want to put as little time and effort into as you possibly can and still get a reasonable result.
