Status Quo is that there is no Status Quo in my record collection. And I intend to keep it that way. And I am not even American  :icon_jokercolor: :laughing7:

We had some exposure to Status Quo. The oldies stations occasionally play "Pictures of Matchstick Men" between sets of all of the Elvis and Motown that's always played. There are a lot of bands that did make a little splash over here, that really deserve to be bigger. The two or three that really come to mind are T. Rex, Sweet and The Faces.

Agree T. Rex is amazing.  Gotta love some Jeepster.

If it's not emo, I'm not interested.

That's been a question I've asked myself for a long time. How can these emo people honestly make a lifestyle out of being sad and depressed all the time?  Sure, everyone feels bummed and blue at moments, but to make a whole lifestyle out of it.....

i think he was kidding. and even if he wasn't it's just a musical style. i like some music that some people would label as "emo." if i like it then i like it. if not then i don't bother with it

Yes, I was kidding.  However, I do enjoy some Sunny Day Real Estate.  That's as far out on the emo limb as I get.

I was exposed to people like this in college. All they do is act all blue and watch "Daria" on YouTube. I dunno--this has always been the matra I've lived by:

My apologies if this gets stuck in your head. Now that I think about it, this is another UK act, but I think that Monty Python received more recognition over in the States than Status Quo...
