So, this guy has a flat tire right in front of the fence of an insane asylum. He jacks up the car and takes off the lug nuts... puts em in the hubcap all together for safe keeping. Well, things don't go well. He accidentally bumps the hubcap while he's rolling the spare tire along the side of the road, and the hubcap, complete with all four lug nuts goes down into the storm drain.
Fit with despair, he sits down on the curb, and cries out loud... "No lug nuts, what am I going to do now?"
A patient of the asylum sees the events take place, and walks over to the fence and says... "Hey... just take one nut off of each of the other tires. That will get you going in a pinch!"
The man turns, sees the patient and says "Thats brilliant! You shouldn't be inside that fence!"
The patient replies, "Mister I'm CRAZY not STUPID!!!!"

And so it goes with the P92. Do not. The P92 is thicker than a standard Tele pickup, but its no P90. Coil shape is all wrong. It is however, humbucking. It still has that single coil tone, just a "little more" beef.
Maybe better choices for a standard Tele Bridge size pickup:
Little 59
Vintage Reissue Fender pickup <--- these spank but are not whiny and shrill
Fralin over wound Tele pickup
For a HB size pickup, rather than a P92, consider:
Gibson Burstbucker #1, a sweet and light toned humbucker
Gibson P94, the ballsiest "P90 wannabe" of the bunch
Fralin under wound PAF humbucker
Jury is still out on the Fat Bastard. Jack says it kicks ass, but mine was a dud... and they're replacing it. So, officially, no comment. The Phat Cat might be a good one too, although... its not a lot thicker than the P92.
BTW, the P92 is two single coils in one HB shell. Think of it like a Pbass pickup under the hood. Thats how its humbucking. And, finally, Lawrence makes a SC in HB clothing pickup... I think its on his website... I know it was delayed a while due to his thing with Fender.
