Is the KNS6 not getting love?

If I wasn’t already in the middle of too many projects I’d be all over this, but I haven’t seen any threads since launch. Nobody has one cooking?? Or did we all blow our allowances on Meadowhawks?

I dunno, it's kind of a lumpy squashed strat, something of an acquired taste .. for me at least. I had the similar Gecko and found it pretty ergonomic.. but as double cutaways go, it's hard to really improve on the classical stratocaster!! Something slimmer like an Alembic Spectrum would be more interesting to me

See, I think the Strat is ubiquitous to the point of being boring, sure it’s ergonomic… it’s the orthopedic New Balance shoe of guitars in my opinion ;)

The AI did that ;)

I was thinking either Spectra Blue, Candy Purple, or Candy Blue. Or something custom in the blurple range.
Yeah, blame the AI... ;)

The blue is the picture leans a little more to the red/purple and there's a strat body in satin spectra blue in the showcase that looks like spectra blue was such a blue.

Maybe it is in satin, I don't know, but I was actually a little insecure after I ordered my Teilecaster body to be in spectra blue gloss that it might have that reddish, purplish hue to it and I was relieved when it arrived and it didn't. 😅

I like purple and I like purplish blues, just not on this guitar.

Yours however looks like it would benefit from a red hue in the blue (could be the title of a shark movie...), which in my experience spectra blue has not!

This, I am behind 100%. Strat = nice, but safe. expected. common.

I'd have gone for a KNS already if I wasn't in the middle of literally three other projects right now.

I almost tagged you in the original post, I kind of thought you’d lead the shred fueled charge 🤣

I want to do as little finish work as possible, and I'm not a satin fan. I love a classic strat, but I love an Ibanez S more so I dig the design, just nothing that I wanted in the initial run (except the unfinished flame lam top that someone bought within a minute of me opening the page).

FWIW, the KNS is a great, well-balanced shape. I think it just takes time for people to warm up to something new, and decide how they are going to respond to it.

The Meadowhawk had the advantage of several years between its introduction and becoming a standard offering, whereas the KNS6 sort of appeared out of nowhere (kind of, if you don't count the Gecko association.)

Our three newest bodies, the Meadowhawk, KNS6, and Dinkycaster (and top-rout Soloist for that matter) are all far cooler than some of the old clunkers we still sell. (WGD, I'm looking at you. Your days are numbered. Mark. My. Words.)

I like the WGD. Not enough to ever buy it… I don’t want people thinking I like the Dead that much. But I think it’s a neat shape :)

Man, not to turn this into a wishlist thread but all I really want is the AANJ.

Or even better.

Someone go figure out the licensing for the Stephen’s Extended Cutaway. Washburn is hoarding the best bolt on design ever.
