Installing Floyd Rose Stud Installation

Hi All,

How difficult is it to install the studs? Can I tap them in with a hammer? I have an arbor press I can use if need be...

It is a tight fit, but a few good strikes with a mallet (Rubber of some sort, not like a standard carpentry hammer) should seat them. A press would certainly work as well. I have heard of people putting them in the freezer for a little while to help installation too, but I haven't done it myself.

I'm just wanted to know if getting them in perfectly straight wouls be a challenge.

I had Warmoth install mine. I just didn't want to take a chance on screwing something up. The stud installation, and drilling the holes in the body & neck are the only parts of the assembly that I did not do myself...
