Inlay question

Hi everyone!
Have a question regarding inlay techniques.
What is the best way to cut small details in a pearl/abalone?
I mean how to cut inner figures, for instance, eye holes in a skull etc
I use the jeweler's saw for outer cutting and medium inner cutting, but I have no idea how to cut tiny inner stuff.

For the really detailed bits I tend to engrave them and then fill with wax or similar.. although if the eye hole is big enough I would cut that first with a drill bit/jewelers saw and then finish off cutting out the rest of the inlay.  Check out http://www.smallwonder-music.co.uk they sell a graver tool and the filler and a load of really cool materials.
