Ordered these off the showcase a couple days ago, with the additional routing, fret installation etc, should arrive in a week or two!

Chambered strat body, mahogany with flame maple top
Amber dye finish, clear masked binding
Routed for mini-humbucker/mini-humbucker/humbucker, wood mounted

Gonna be putting a LR Baggs X-Bridge with Ctrl-X preamp on it. Pickups will be Tom Anderson's M1 and M2 in the mini-humbucker slots (if I can get them to fit), Lollar Imperial in the bridge.

Neck's Indian Rosewood with Pau Ferro board, MOP trap inlays, SS6150 frets. 25.5" scale.

Is all that wood sexy or what?  :icon_thumright:

Nice! One day I'll have a clear mahogany something or other. Just not sure what yet.

Nope already had my first experience with rosewood necks on my 72-style thinline tele (you can find it in the tele section!). First experience with a pau ferro board though, will post pictures when they arrive. Sadly they haven't been shipped out yet, still with Warmoth  :-\

Update! The Tom Anderson pickups and piezo electronics came in today, unforunately it looks like the  M2 might not fit. The M2 is actually a different size from the M1, it's slightly wider and the string spacing is wider as well. Makes sense since it was originally intended to be a bridge pickup.

Not sure whether to use the Lollar Imperial bridge as well, might not match the TAs well. Maybe I'll save them for another future project and try out a TA humbucker.

In other news, Warmoth hasn't shipped my order yet  :sad1:

Looks great! I have a similar mahogany/maple top body (but not chambered). http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=17878.msg264490#msg264490

I really like mine but I think it would be even better chambered. Keep us posted!

And it's in!

It actually shipped without me knowing, I didn't get the familiar UPS email strangely. Not complaining though, it was a pleasant surprise  :icon_thumright:

And of course, first thing I did was to paste the Warmoth logo not he headstock  :headbang:

Might go with either these ivoroid knobs, or solid machined aluminum ones that I'm waiting on

And my little box of parts

Unfortunately, the Tom Anderson M2 will not fit, the bobbins are too wide. The M1 does fit though, just need to file the side tabs to fit, no biggie. Will probably be ordering another M1 soon.

Here's what I'm hoping to do with the electronics, will require some slight rewiring of the Baggs piezo electronics. It'll look a lot more conventional and cleaner than the default Baggs controls though!

WOW very nice indeed  :icon_thumright:

That Flame is awesome
Great all round choices you have made.

Thanks man!

I've requested a custom parts builder in Indonesia to make a set of knobs for me, similar to these but with VOL, TONE, BLEND and MODE engraved on top. He does excellent work, custom aluminum, brass and wood parts as well. Most of his work is with custom made bridges. Very very reasonable prices too.

Also asked him to do an inlaid rosewood truss rod cover with my initials

And not forgetting, Doug's awesome neck plate to top it all off!
