I'm bored waiting on body.

I haven't used boiled linseed oil, but I've used TruOil on 4 builds for both body an neck. All of them have a roasted maple shaft with 2 having roasted maple fretboards.

I don't know if the 2 finishes correlate to one another, but TruOil will darken the wood a bit with an amber tone. I find the black fret marker dots a bit harder to locate sometimes as a result. At most, I use 2 coats, otherwise a sheen starts to develop, but that may be something you're shooting for.

I've read boiled linseed oil is more intensive in application, as it takes longer to dry and more coats are needed. Again, I have no direct experience with this, but it was a reason I went with TruOil.
