I've never built a full Warmoth custom. My only axe is a 92 MIM Strat that means an aweful lot to me and I can't imagine ever giving it a brother or replacing it. I'm sure you folks know what I'm talking about. I already have a Wenge neck on order for it anyway (I've pretty much wore the old one out). I have it set with a set of SD Everything Axe and I love it's tone for what I like to play which is blazz, fusion, and rock. So I have a solid body with rich warm tone that can rock with the best of them. And every scar, scrape, and ding on the body has been earned.

So that's what I have and I'd like to add depth to my arsenal. So I was thinking about a Mahogany Chambered Carved top LPS. Quilted Maple or Lacewood Top in a Black Wash with a set of P90's and maybe a Baritone Neck. I'm not sure on that yet. A Baritone wouldf be cool and add a bit of new flavor to my Jazz compositions. I'm not sure how the P90's would work with the Baritone strings though. Whether I go Baritone or 25" will determine neck wood. But I'm thinking just plain old Maple as it would contrast my Strat which is a cool mellowed Cream with the dark Wenge Neck. So the Strat will be White\Black and the LPS will be Black\White. That would be cool.

Also thinking maybe a Bigsby Trem. Or just a hardtail.Chrome hardware.

If I win, I have several designs in mind, and I will share them with the forum and let you guys decide and help me out with finalizing which ever one gets built.  I will only build one guitar, and the rest of the cash goes to a music related charity, or will go towards helping some broke kid who wants a guitar get a guitar.

So I'm not the only one who's thought of, not one, but several body/neck/pickup plans? I swear I've changed my mind so many times since this contest started.

I'll have to let the board pick I think,

1. '54 P, alder body, wenge neck. Basslines QP Single Coil P bass pickup and Basslines Blackouts preamp wired 18v. Badass III Bridge, Hipshot Ultralite tuners, .09 gloss black pickguard and all black hardware. Painted blue pearl.

2. '74 P, swamp ash body, swap necks so my maple-bodied P will have a solid pau ferro neck and the ash one will have Indian rosewood. Basslines Lightning Rod P wired 18V on the '74, Basslines Hot P on the modern P. Badass III Bridge, Hipshot Ultralite tuners, .09 gloss black pickguard and all black hardware. Painted gray or white pearl.
