Fender Noiseless.

they sound sexy in my buddies guitar.

though honestly. a Tele isn't a real guitar till its got a set of humbuckers.
I kid, I kid

I voted for the DiMarzios just to be safe, but you might want to look into the GFS Neovin series pickups for Teles.

I've never used them so I don't know what they sound like for sure, but they're only $60 a pair (you can also buy individuals). Not a lot of risk there.

They have some sound clips on the catalog page if you're interested.

May I add, that I actually want it to have a pretty traditional tele sound. I'm pretty sure that emg is not for me.

I have a Zaq that I love. I had it wound a while ago for a build. Got to try it out in someone's guitar, It kills. Still need to get that build done, but I feel that is over a year away.

I have Iron Gear steel twins on my walnut tele.. I love it! great value for money too.
but keep in mind that only the bridge is stacked.

I chose option4. With a Teele the squeal, feedback and hum is all part of the guitar. But you can use some of that as a weapon too.  :icon_thumright:  :evil4:

Personally, if you want clean no hum sound, you'd have to look at EMGs. If you haven't heard them then maybe you should and see how close they get to that Tele sound with their EMG-T systems. If you have heard the EMG-Ts and don't like them, fair enough, but don't forsake them just because they are actives..

An alternative might also be to get a pair of Tele pickups that are RWRP to each other, and you can wire in series, to get a humbucker effect when both are selected.

If you choose options three or four, please tell which pickups you would choose.  :icon_biggrin:

If the puppies are noiseless, why would you pay for them? That's like paying for octaneless gasoline....

Find some Fender vintage wound tele pups.

Area-T is the way to go......PERIOD.

Agreed x10.

The Dimarzio Area T Bridge & Neck are an awsome duo. They sound authentic yet nooooo noise. My next build is a tele & I'll have an Area T in the bridge & 2 Area T necks in the middle & neck positions.

That sounds awesome! My build is prolly a very long way off from now, so I'll be looking forward to seeing how yours turns out (soundclips please)

Noiseless single coils are for sissy girls.  They are also for people who prefer noiseless pickups.  I fall into neither of these categories, so i prefer noise-full pickups.  Seriously, though, Jazzmasters are the noisiest guitars on the planet, and it's not like you can ever hear any hum when you're actually playing.  I've just gotten into the habit of dropping my volume pedal in between songs, and it has never been an issue.

If you decide against the noiseless route and are looking for some splendid vintage tele tone, get yourself a set of Lollar Vintage T's.  A buddy i play with has a set and after hearing his tele i scrapped my plans for my next build and decided it would have to be a telecaster.
