Much like Verne Bunsen, all this talk of new gear gave me major GAS, and I was informed that it could lead to death if I didn't take care of it... So I had to do something.

Haha, but seriously, I ordered my Line 6 Helix Rack today! I also got the Helix Control for it, and a decent power conditioner to go with it.

My buddy Jon at Long & McQuade says it should be in by early May.
I'm so excited to use this, especially for recording. Such a powerful piece of gear!
:headbang:

Awesome dude. I hope you enjoy that once it comes. What cabinet/speaker will you be using?

For now, I'm just going to be running it through my flat response headphones, anger maybe running it using the 4 cable method, through my dual rec and a Marshall cab, but I'm going to be getting a pair of Line 6 L3M's eventually.

:party07:

Mine showed up in about half the time they quoted me, hopefully yours shows sooner-than-later too!

That would be amazing, haha. They said their supplier didn't have it in their stock, so it will probably take a while, but he said they've been pretty quick when they've ordered them in the past, so I'm hopeful! :rock-on:

And today I sold two of my amps to go towards it: my Marshall MG 100HFX and MG412A, which I wasn't upset at all about I've tried to sell it in the past and it didn't go. And the second one was my Marshall DSL100H, which did hurt a little. Love the sound of that thing, but lately I've only been playing through my Orange Dark Terror, and my Mesa Boogie Dual Rec, so I let someone else enjoy it. And now I have a good chunk of cash to pay off this Helix.

For me, selling a tupe amp, and going digital, feels backwards, and it is weird... But the Helix will open many doors for me.
I've always gone for high gain amps, because that's what I'm into, but I also enjoy a good clean sound, which is sacrificed with most high gain amps. So the helix gets me everything I wans, and more!
My music room sure feels empty now.

You are bolder than me! I couldn't bring myself to part with the tube amps before giving Helix a thorough spin. In fact the whole "going digital" thing left a knot in my stomach. But at this point, I'm ready to send the tube amps on their way and not look back. Helix continues to blow away my expectations, I don't find myself missing anything. It really, really rocks.  :occasion14:

For now, I'm keeping my dual rec, and dark terror, but I can see myself selling tjem in the future. I could easily get a good chunk of cash around here for them. Dual Recs are close to $3000 new in canada right now
