The young people today are soul-less and identity-less. There's no morals being learned because they are taught that there is no right or wrong; no pride in anything (because that would invariably "offend" someone) etc... zombies, indeed. The "new program" has failed miserably.
Have you ever even talked to a teen, let alone try find a teens soul, identity, moral or pride? Or are you making a generalisation based on the few teens you seem to have tried to talk to, given up after the lack of effort to go into a deeper conversation than ''How's it goin'?'' and then comopletely shut them out of your mind?
So......Wana........"How's it goin?" :icon_jokercolor: :icon_thumright:

Seriously? I'm 16. I've never killed anyone, stolen anything, done any drugs, don't have any intentions of drinking, help people out, and volunteer. I'm now a zombie because I wasn't taught in school what's right and wrong? Since I'm a person, I can learn and infer, and I know what's right and wrong for me, but it won't be the same things you think are right and wrong. I'll add more later.
You two guys are very much a good counter argument to what the other poster was grumbling about. And I'm pleased to say that I've met some of your generation in my own neck of the woods who are very similar to you guys too.
But I have met some kids who are absolute b*st**ds to deal with, but the funny thing is that these kids are usually the spoilt brat type kids who are only alive because their parents thought it was worth the tax incentive to their combined income to have a kid or two. Basically they are thrown money to get lost, while the parents enjoy their weekends. I see a fair bit of that in the affluent suburbs of Sydney and these are the kids getting into drinking, then drugs, then being a nuisance outside of nightclubs, then trashing stuff.
As I said, I have met people about your age and maybe a little older whom I have met through my football supporting, and they are great people to be around. And they just shuffle off home after the match, when they've had their fill of booze (if they are old enough to drink). No buses harrassed, no vomiting in someone's front garden, no graffiti crime. A couple of times us older guys have had to pull a few in line for getting a bit excited, but these kids are the future of football supporting in Australia, and they are making us proud at a time when our sport is coming on a lot.
Mind you, my generation - and those just older than me - sprang up the likes of Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, the Son of Sam killer, Mark Chapman, Ivan Milat (Australian Backpacker killer), the Port Arthur Mass Murderer, the Yorkshire Ripper, and quite a few other misfits. So if the other poster was about my age, his generation and the 'old program' is setting a bad benchmark to follow anyways.
