Agreed. They need to lose the pickguards, too.

Yep agree on what you guys have said ..... even has a 6 hole trem  :icon_scratch:
I should really have said the 'Black Paisley Finish' was what I was jumping ... Up & down about  :blob7:

That just looks great  :headbang:

I'd stick a Wenge / Ebony on that  :icon_biggrin:

Get rid of that piece of crap six-hole nonsense and stick something more stable in its place. It's not like it costs any more money from the production side of things.

I'd have one.  But I don't want to buy a new one  :)

I believe I'll wait a bit until they start showing up on the used market.  A canary neck, a bender, and some pickups and you're gold!  :headbang:

I can't get next to that lace business. Reminds me of the dust-collecting doilies that old ladies put under everything sitting on a flat surface.

Yeah that has always been my thinking too, on that type of finish ....
But something about it being in Black, just looks heaps better than those other colours  :icon_biggrin:

Might be too much, but Terrapin has black paisley pick guard material as well.  I do like the Tele, but I agree with Trevor, I'd get a used one.

I agree. But I'm still not gonna do it.

I've seen the telecaster at HEllo Music for $449 bucks, plus shipping, if you're actually interested in picking one up.

I don't understand it, but Fender seems to put those 6 hole things on almost all their lower end stuff. I get it for the more classic/vintage-like stuff, but for everything else?  :icon_scratch:

Are there people other than the vintage guys who actually like those things for some reason? The 6 hole trems cost the same as the 2 points, so I don't get it.

The 6-hole units sell for the same price as the 2 points, but I'd bet dollars to donut holes they don't cost the same to manufacture. They're ultra-simple and don't need to be accurate, so Fender may be able to get them out of China for $.72 cents apiece. Add those cheap stamped/roll-formed saddles, and I'll bet the whole assembly is still less than a buck in OEM quantities.

That could be cool, but you wouldn't want it on a paisley body, that would just be an overload of paisley, I kinda like the black pg on it the way it is.. :dontknow:
