I dunno if you knew, but...

socks are where you get the rest of the corporate world. Dress as conservative as you can with polka dotted socks.

i thought vintage just meant more than 25 years old.
then i looked it up and apparently a car is considered "antique" at 25+ years. but nothign about the word vintage and a specific number. shows what i know

still, the 80's were a long ass time ago if nobody's noticed. i'm pretty sure anything from the 80's is vintage. of course, everything from the 80's was aweful and dated even when it was new, so it's not much better off 25 years later

I think we're at one of those crossroads where the early 80's is definitely vintage, but the late 80's is sort of the grey area.

Actually, it's quite easy from a pragmatist's point of view: vintage = obsolete. So, there's no magic age involved.

It's the marketing weenies who've obfuscated things so much. They know if they spin the presentation properly, they can charge more. If it weren't for them convincing the kids that their low-quality poorly-implemented barely functional ancient design hardware is "better" somehow, nobody would buy the crap.

Of course, there's also the flip side of the coin: if people didn't ask for junk and pay top dollar to get it, nobody would make it.

i usually think of 1940's, 50's & early 60's as vintage. more than that is antique for most items.
