That looks like one of the new satin finish bodies? Lovely stuff, if so. I just had a Mooncaster show up yesterday with that finish from them, and it's far superior to what they used to offer.
Nice that you got a good deal on that '52 Gibson. Those things usually go for quite a bit. I had one of those here for repair about 6 months ago that needed the tailpiece replaced due to it having broken irreparably. In mint condition otherwise. Anyway, that guy also got a "super" deal on it (like $200), and in researching it we found that they often go for between $3,000 and $5,000. Then he couldn't decide whether to be happy or overcome by guilt :laughing7:
