So my 9 yo Grandson is finally showing an interest in guitars (his dad plays in a band), and wants me to build him a 'Star Guitar with Flames".......
I imagine that could be done with an airbrush, but I'm afraid that's a little beyond my painting/finishing ability, so I was researching the Hydrographic Film Dipping options. I thought I would just get the cheapest body with maybe basswood for it, don't want to spend a ton on his first guitar.
I know @Spud is the Dipping expert, but has anyone tried the Hydrographic Film Dipping ? I have seen a few examples on guitars that look pretty nice, and I'm looking at these kits on amazon that include the film, activator, correct primer and clearcoat.
