Here is my custom carved telecaster. It shares Luke's MM woods & electronics and Nuno's N4 dimensions & feel. I did the carving myself, the whole process and specs at http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=13319.0

It looks amazing right up to the reverse headstock, not a big fan of that. But I know a ton of people like reverse, but I'm not onboard with it.

The carving and paint look incredible, nice job. I also think you should paint the headstock to match the body, maybe even carve the headstock a bit? Never seen a carved headtock, it might look awesome.

Oh and by the way, I love the blank neck, no fret markers. All my future builds will be no fret markers. That is when I get a job, been outta work 15 months...................

It's just for the guitar feel..... Wizard neck, tall frets, free access to high frets & reverse headstock. I own a N4 (almost perfect guitar), but this one became much better!!
My main purpose was to have something in between the luke and the n4...... And I love telecasters.

I've never played a N4. Does it have a thin neck like the Wizard??

Warmoth's wizard is a little thinner than N4's neck.

I suppose we should let Orcrist finish out his term, but I'm feeling a January contender coming on here.

Thanks!!!!!!!! I'll be there...........

by the way, here are the guitar's specs:

Neck: Rosewood over Maple - Satin Finish
Custom rolled edges
Nut: Earvana Black Tusk
Tuning Machines: Schaller Locking
Back Contour: Wizard
Fretboard Radius: 14''
6105 Frets
Best-Decals Custom Decal

Body: 2 piece Alder
Custom Hand Carved
Custom Triangular Contoured Heel
Wilkinson Bridge (Full recessed rout)
Steve Lukather EMG Pickup Set & Electronics

3 way Dimarzio switch (B-MN-N)

Precisely. It's what made Orc's DM strat stand out too. No the killer graphics, and speaking of Orcrist.. Tolkien's H/LOTR is a literary masterpiece. And it launched a whole genre of copies that said 'Oh I get it, goblins, wizards, elves, and little people. Gotcha.'  But they really didn't.  The DM Strat is a CONCEPT, not just a guitar with splashy graphics. And so is this. Not originality for the sake of wierdness but a truly creative fresh idea. Nicely done. (And don't you people dare hijack this thread because of my example.)

March's GOTM is for profesional finished guitars.....I can participate finally

OMG - I just discovered this section.  I typically HATE solid finishes on guitars, but this is amazing.
