Humbucker Rings for a VIP ... which ones?

Which humbucker rings would you recommend for a dual humbucker VIP?
I looked at the geometry of the body and there is a definite curve so ...
Does curved and short for the neck
And tall and curved for the bridge
Make sense ...
I was looking at some pictures and saw that a lot of people had used what seemed to be short curved rings in the bridge position and those seemed to look pretty good.
Then I saw a posting here from old Jack the Hack and he used flat and short in the bridge position.
And I know that flat ones will bend a little if you screw 'em down.

Or do you use two flat ones and screw it down?

The last VIP I built used flat gold-plated metal humbucker rings.

That was a carved top, and I had no issues. Same with carved top Teles. In fact, the CT Teles will allow you to use the traditional flat Tele bridge plate/pickup mount without modification as well.
