HSH or HSS for my warmoth guitar build?

Thanks for all the replies guys! I just want to get this straight, HSS is more for blues and jazzy stuff, HSH is a HxH with a single coil, and HxH is for metal, hard rock, classic rock, and blues.

WHO said it to you??? You can play blues and jazzy stuff with humbucker neck! Ask it for BB King...

All clips I've heard of this pickup sounded AWESOME...

Single coils can do more than just bluesy and jazzy.  Just reference Hendrix, SRV, Gilmour, etc

try this....seriously...there are TOOOOO many options.  I think the best is 2 humbuckers that each one is tapped single coil.

No doubt about that, I like singles, but in a singlular way...I love all three of their tones without any reservations at all. But if I'm gonna have singles, then it's all singles....

True, I can see what your saying there.  I was more defending the versatility of the single coil pickup.  HSS gives you a Strat with serious cajones in the bridge.  A guitar that can cover a lot of ground. 

I like H/S/H route idea though.  You're just a few connections away from swapping the whole pickguard if you don't like what you choose now.
