How to wire my 2-pickup strat?

Ok, so.  This Strat started out life as a pink Squire which I put a conversion Warmoth maple/ebony neck on and a White pearloid pickguard with a single humbucker and volume knob.  This was originally for my wife to learn to play on, but she fell in love with my basses and has put tons of time and effort into learning that, so the guitar has sat, unloved and lonely.

Now, I intend to add a stacked humbucker to the neck position, so consider this sorta a super Tele that looks like a Strat.  I have some issues and am open for some suggestions:

1)  I **HATE** the Strat positioning of the Volume knob.  I do NOT want any sort of knob or switch that I could flip while playing aggressively in that spot.  I am not adverse to a low-profile push button there, but I always take the knob off of any Strat I play.
2)  I will have a normal humbucker in the bridge position and a stacked humbucker in the neck position.  I would like to have normal LP-esque H, H, or HH three-way toggle but...
3)  Since I don't want a knob or normal (or mini-toggle) switch in that Strat volume knob spot... what would be a good switching option for a push button?  I'm open to anything, really, so toss me ideas!
4)  I really only want a volume knob, a three way LP-style switch and whatever interesting pickup switching options would be cool.  I don't care for tone knobs.

It sounds lke you knwo what you want. It's funny, I'm doing the same thing for my wife right now. I'm putting the red Strat back together for her.
I'm going to get a Warmoth pickguard made for bridge humbucker, neck singe, two knobs starting at #2, so that close one will not be there.

If all else fails, just put a sticker over it!  :laughing3: But you're looking for options for a button...I THINK the Killswitch that jackson uses can be wired to switch btwn pups...

If you have the one vol and LP switch you talked about in option #3, what else do you need? :icon_scratch:

sounds like you're making a squier 51 of some sort! i don't know if you can wire a killswitch to switch between pickups, but it's a really cool idea...

Killswitches are only on as long as you hold them down, generally, IIRC.
