Hey, this is perhaps the most OFF-TOPIC of the whole life of the forum  :laughing7:

My team has released a new jersey and it has some "publicity" in the sleeve that I really DON'T like and would like to know how to take it off without damaging the jersey and, as there is a lot of mad cientist here on forum, I thought could be good ask them how to do so...

Here is the jersey:

The publicity is a kind of plastic film, pressed to the jersey... I don't know a lot about these things, even more in english... I think it may be very much alike the American Football jerseys I've seen (been a long time since and for what I remember)

cheers!

duct tape

Seems a good idea, I'll buy some tape tomorrow

The easiest way to go, I suspect.

If you are a professional player though, Nando, you may be in breach of your player's contract if you willfully cover up a sponsor's logo on the playing jersey..... when you say, my team, you mean the team you play for, or the team you support? :dontknow:

No, this is the jersey of the football (arrein) team I support... :laughing7:

The rugby team I'm (or used to be) one of the owners don't even have a jersey... ütterly amateur...

Do you know of any t-shirt printing shops around you?  They might have some ideas, but that isn't likely to come completely off.  If it was ink, that's another story and would just mean a lot of work.  Those heat press logos can be a b*tch.

I think it's the heat press thing... one of the boarders of the logo on one jersey is getting off and I tried to pull it calmly and I didn't feel it would works :S

They're made to withstand heat as they get washed and dried (hopefully) regularly.

I temped in a screen printing shop for nine months. The best way to remove the logo is to get a new shirt. Even if you remove it, there will be a shiny outline there.

It's a new jersey and it have been used like twice... I don't mine the shiny outline, because I can buy how many new jerseys I can, all them will come with the sponsorship's logo, what I don't really like...

what is wrong with Bozzano's ? they are my favorite hairproduct/deodorant company!!  :laughing7:

Looks promising if a bit extreme.  http://www.beacongraphics.com/supplies/adhesive-remover.html

Directions
1. Use heat lamp or heat gun to soften vinyl.
2. Pull the vinyl from the surface.
3. Apply adhesive remover with cloth or paper towel.
4. Let sit for at least 90 seconds until glue softens.
5. Scrape with squeegee to remove glue residue.
6. Wipe area with a clean cloth or towel.
7. Remove any remaining glue and dry surface.
