I have an EMG loaded pickguard with  active pickups, and a loose 9 volt battery , that I would like to put on a regular Strat guitar. Im not certain how to keep the 9 volt from knocking around loose inside the guitar.
Is there any internal mount or box  , or should I use sticky sided tape? Thanks

You can get a clip that you can glue/tape/screw inside.  Or just tape the battery in place.

Or use the little bag that StewMac offer here http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Battery_clips_and_holders/L.R._Baggs_Battery_Bag.html. Or, if you don't want to have to pull the pickguard every time you have to change batteries, install one of these http://www.warmoth.com/Battery-Boxes-C220.aspx battery boxes. On a new body, Warmoth will do the route for $15, on an existing body you would need to take care of the routing yourself. It depends on how often you change batteries whether it would be worth it.

On my DG-20, EMG recommends wrapping tape around the 9 volt, and tucking it between the volume and tone pots.  Works for me (although if I'd thought of it, I would've got the battery box routed...)

I don't think so... check out GoDrex's blog here... http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=6795.0
