how many coats of shellac sealer?

hi,
after grain filling and staining how many coats of sealer (dewaxed shellac) should i give before spraying poly?
and usually how many coats of poly is enough for the body and the neck?

You might not need a sealer.  If you insist on a sealer... shellac is good, but make sure its ok with your poly finish - test sample!  Two coats should be just fine as a sealer.
