how long will maple last unfinished

I'm considering buying a all-maple strat neck and applying the nitro finish myself.  The problem is that I'm in the process of moving and won't have an acceptable or safe work area until July.  How long will an unfinished maple neck last in the box before it is at risk for warping?

I have grabbed really nice pieces of Birdseye off the showcase because they were exceptional and waited over a year to get to them without any problems. In fact I have 2 laying on top of the desk that are well over a year old just waiting for me to get to them.

Probably a long time unless you play on it.  Just keep it somewhere where the temperature and humidity don't change a lot.

Don't mount the neck or put string tension on it prior to finishing it.

It depends on the environmental conditions where you store the neck.

Be aware a finish needs to be applied to the neck within about 30 days of receiving it in order for the warranty to be valid.
