How does Fender Atomic humbuckers sound in parallel?

I shot a quick video of my modified Fender Super-Sonic.
I put a Fender S-1 switch in it and it allows me to change both humbuckers from series to parallel. This gives me a single coil-ish sound but without the hum.
I first did some recordings with my usual amount of gain (quite a lot actually) but the sound nuances are completely lost with that amount of gain. So instead I did this very short thing with clean sound where you are able to here the difference quite clearly.

Cool. I have a guitar with a Dimarzio Air Norton (in the neck position) that's wired in parallel.

I tried the same with a Duncan JB but didn't care for the sound.

Thanks.
I imagine the parallel sound differs from other models, but the general description when talking/reading about this, is that it sounds single coil-ish. But without the hum.
(My guitar is actually more quiet in parallel than in normal series humbucking mode!)
The difference between series and parallel gets more lost the more gain you use, and that's why I used a relatively clean sound here. The first clip I shot using gain, was useless, since the difference wasn't audible on Youtube.

PS.
When researching the Atomic humbucker I found that many people compare it to the JB.
