How do you check new J-bass truss rod to see if it will work fine?

Before doing any thing to the neck, how do you check the truss rod to see if it will work fine once you've put everything together?

If you have no experience doing an initial set up the best thing is to bring it to your guitar tech.  The guitar player repair guide by dan erlwine should be in your library.  You can get it used cheap on eBay or Amazon.

No, this is where you checking the neck for any defects or such so Warmoth accepts the return and pays return shipping.

My understanding is the warranty is a year.  If you're not bothering to finish it within 30 days, then just give it a visual inspection, look for dings, is it straight ...  that's about all you can do unless you put it on a body to try it out.

Try turning it a a 1/4 turn and back. Does it work then you should be fine.
