So....there are never gonna be any in stock to use for a video, and we aren't going to want to do up a bunch for a video because it will take a million years to sell them.
I can hear the sales force whining now... "Yabbut...if we don't have any in stock, we'll never sell any!"
:laughing7:
Ha! Yes, we hear that quite a bit.
Thing is, after 30 years of the in-stock showcase, we've tried most every approach at one time or another. We've tried stocking lefty stuff. Sits forever. We've tried stocking oddball stuff. Sits forever. At this point we have it pretty dialed in, and we stick with the tried-and-true. The showcase is a lot of dollars sitting on shelves, and has to be turning constantly.
The main exceptions are:
1. Customer returns that were BTO with oddball options
2. Limited runs with special appeal (4th of July bodies, Crackle bodies, et al)
3. Projects that make use of surplus raw materials (wood, paint, et al) that have no other use and need to be moved out the door/turned into cash
4. A token offering to capitalize on the release of a new option. (Example: 1.650" nut width...we did a bunch for showcase when we first announced it. Once they are gone 1.650" will become BTO only, for the most part.)
And speaking of 4th of July bodies...we have some DOOZIES in the pipeline for 2020!!!
