Omg that second clip is stunning. Loving the whole mad hairdo, really goes with the piece hehe

All my music friends in university used to joke about Asian musicians being cold and robotic when they played. Not this girl, that's for sure.  :laughing7:

there not as cold and robotic and proper in the northern part of japan or some other asian countries. i knew several guys that loved blues and 60's -80's american rock and metal and were anything but cold or robotic in there playing. the owner of a bar near misawa where i was stationed once had an afro and dress like an asian jimi hendrix. i saw the pictures to prove it. there was a local band called bad ass inc http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bad-Ass-inc/65462888203?ref=ts .  i may still have there cd around somewhere. the singer was named bon and she was just as unique as that piano player. they play the local biker rallies where some americans and some rough looking japanese guys ride vintage harley davidsons and drive chevy impala lowriders or impala or nomad station wagons around misawa. its really weird to see japanese guys act like american hippies and bikers and rockstars. ill see if i can dig up some videos.

If this is robotic then someone please put a chip in my buttocks:

The name comes from the idea that machineguns are more powerful than pistols.

One of the 3 tightest live bands I've ever seen:

The other two are 1986-era Metallica and 1999 Thin Lizzy.
Like them, Shaka Labbits were so loud I could feel my pants slapping against my leg.
It was great.

I LOVE Shaka Labbits!  :headbang: Hard to get any of their stuff here in Québec, so I've had to resort to piracy. Shhhh....

I liked it better now! I remember the last there were comments about the bass players angora sweater :icon_biggrin:

I bet she's a fan of Keith Emerson. The first song reminded me a lot of Karn Evil 9 2nd Impression.

Didn't care for the second one as much. Sure it's amazing but would I listen to it more than once? Probably not. More like a showcase of her speed and knowledge of musical idioms/cliches. The first piece is far more interesting to me.

attractive too - even with a skunk on her head.

"Some people dig jazz, some people dig classical music, some people dig rock. Everyone is so concerned about who they like. They always say, 'This guy is the best,' 'No, this guy is the best.' But I think everyone is great. I really don't have barriers to any type of music. I could listen to everything from metal to classical music to anything else."

I like her way of thinking. :icon_thumright:
