Hey guys,

I am finishing a swamp ash tele body and it is coming along nicely. I dyed it with green aniline dye (water based) and then have been layering Minwax Tung Oil. I sanded to 320 before starting the Minwax. I did not fill the grain. This morning I wet sanded with 600 grit paper and added 4th coat of TOF and its starting to look nice. Wheere should I go from here sanding wise? Should I get 1200? 3000? Micromesh? I'm reluctant to use steel wool.

Thanks! :blob7:

I ordered a set of the stew Mac sanding sponges.  They got from 1500 to 20000 grit.  Almost completely polished.  Then I used a good final polish and it looks great.  Keep them wet and you cannot go wrong.  They also fold and roll to fit those hard to get places.

I feel so special because even Tonar highlighted then in one of his threads.... :toothy10:
