Hi. Roasted Maple vs. Vintage

Hello.
I am considering ordering a Warmoth roasted maple neck.

From a common sense standpoint, it stands to reason that Roasted Maple is exactly down to the  molecular level  identical to a vintage air dried neck.
Is this correct? That means it would have that vintage tone. That leaves, in general the only thing desirable about an old Strat to be from the collectors aspect, AND/OR quality of the old growth wood, since there are so many customization options on a assembled guitar .

Opinions?

My understanding is that it actually makes it more like a very old Maple neck, in that not only has all the moisture has been removed, any oils or sugars get dried/crystalized as well, making it very hard and smooth, as well is impervious to environmental changes that would warp/twist a newer piece of Maple. It doesn't even need a finish, and in fact is much nicer without one, particularly if you burnish it. Plus, bonus! It smells like Maple cookies when you get it  :icon_biggrin:

I've had 4 or 5 of them here now, and it's risen to be one of my favorite neck woods out of the dozen or more I've tried. They really play/feel/sound fantastic.
