I picked up this bass on craigslist, and the guy says it's a Warmoth neck - certainly looks to be of that quality, but I'm kinda mystified by the lack of a turtle stamp. Looks like it was factory drilled with 6 holes (G&L?), but came on a P-Body, with additional holes drilled in the neck.
Further complicating it, is the body that it came on, is labelled Valley Arts, but has a turtle stamp (and a crossed-over serial #).
Anyone have any ideas/conjecture/proof that these parts are or are not Warmoth for sure? The body is from about 83, I guess, and the neck may be as well. I heard from one potential buyer (selling these on eBay) that Warmoth used to make the parts for Valley Arts. Hoping someone has some info here, I'm not trying to defraud anyone.
