I'm interested in building a telecaster with a quilted maple top and I'm torn between yellow dye and yellow transparent. Does anyone have a pic of how these yellows appear on a guitar body? Thanks for the help!

For a quilt top I think dye is a better option. It will make the grain pop more/look more 3d than the transparent finish, which just sits on top.

I agree w/ @ragamuffin that dye is a better option, especially for quilt maple, and especially for yellow.
