so far so great! looks like everything will fit. showcase body and neck, usa trem and abalone shell pickguard came in under $950!
question any uncommon ways to do a set up with a usa fender trem with warmoth neck?

Welcome.

That's a very nice looking body! :blob7:

Not sure quite what you're asking about the trem though.  :icon_scratch:

Some of the most uncommon ways to set up an axe with a warmoth neck are as follows:

tighten your truss rod to the point where all open strings ring true at the 22nd fret.

only put one loose spring on the trem, thus allowing maximum action.

align all your saddles in as straight a line as possible.

file the nut slots down so that the first fret now becomes the nut

Good luck, keep us posted

USA fender trem will work fine with a warmoth neck, no worries

Alf, be nice...  But that is funny...

There are not too many ways to go with the current set up.  I have a Tremol-No in my guitar with a Floyd, and I have found I like the fixed bridge functionality I get with it.  I can always loosen a thumb screw to get the wang-i-tude back.  Other than that, put it together, dial it in, and make some noise.

right on patrick! thanks.  i built / carved my first guitar in 1985, i guess i should have asked about uncommon problems arising with warmoth parts so, no worries when setting intonation to fender standards?

That looks like it's going to be a very nice, elegant looking build.  Hope you enjoy building and playing it!

thanks for that samgoody, i figured it will look alot like your build so i posted what ive got so far. next ill get the neckplate custon engraved and have a custom head stock sticker made. probably even order a new carrying case with a blue velvet liner!  nuts with all that...  how about your progress?  have you looked at tone controls?
i purchased a tone shaper so no soldering needed for my used lace sensors...  plus that will allow changing capacitor values and series set ups by tiny tiny on - off switches!  i just hope it is high quality! :headbang1:

Well, I only have the body, neck, and bridge so far.  I'm still waiting for all the other stuff to arrive in the mail, so I haven't been able to start the build yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.

As far as tone controls I haven't really looked at the tone shaper you mentioned; I'm just going with regular 500kOhm CTS pots I purchased from Warmoth.  "No soldering needed" sounds pretty neat, and I would like to know more about it, perhaps for a future build.  :)
