Heaviest body wood?

Exactly! I've played a MIJ rosewood tele, and it's not even in the same ballpark. That said, I'd love to see Yngwie try one of his patented 'swirl the guitar around his neck' moves with my warmoth. It would probably be the first ever time a guitarist unintentionally stage dived. Except for Grohl, that is.

Make it out of lead and play some serious heavy metal! :D

True Story: When I was in college circa 1980 a friend of a friend was an engineering student at MIT, and for some class project he built a solidbody electric guitar out of stainless steel.

It weighed 24lbs (!!!)

And it was essentially unplayable...because even if you could find a strap that would support it, your shoulder would feel like it was collapsing after a minute or two, and if you played sitting down it would cut off the circulation in your leg and then you couldn't stand up or walk for a few minutes after the session.

Also, it sounded like crap.

Rickenbacker's are made of maple, and a smallish bodied 620 isn't much heavier than a standard Fender, if at all. But then they are thinner, So…

Two heaviest basses I've picked up were a Peavy T-40 and a 70s maple Gibson AR Artist or whatever they're called. Dunno which was heavier, but they both weighed more than a Höfner violin bass, in its case.
