Has anyone ever thought of putting a chromatic tuner IN the headstock, theyre small enough to fit if a hole was made there

how long would it work before needing to be replaced? would you be able to find a exact replacement when it does?
Just a few thoughts before routing a hole for it.
cant you get a clamp on one for 2 plus bucks?

thats a really cool idea, but wouldn't the signal have to get up to the headstock somehow? i know there are kinds that clamp on and sense vibrations, but i wasn't sure if thats what you're talking about or not

I think he's talking about permanently mounting a clamp on - they pickup mechanical vibration.  You could but... like Justatele says.. there's stuff to consider like replacing it, techno-clutter, and then what if something way cooler comes out?

You mean like a digital tuner in your stomp box collection?  :icon_scratch:

I agree, electronics change constantly and the older version of whatever disappears everyday.  My pedal and my amp both have one built in so I have never worried about it. :icon_scratch:

There are tuners that can be built in to your jack, switches or control knobs.  Much easier to maintain.
