Nope! Sure as hell doesn't. I was working for Jackson when they introduced the import SLS series. I'd say ten percent came back with cracked necks that occurred in shipping on the way to the dealer. It was brutal for a while. We ended up having to hammer at the foam on the ends of the case to get some kind of clearance for the headstock. Ah, the joys of kludging.
That and the Soloist has a lovely sculpted neck joint while the Dinky is a bolt on. That area of the case needed some love too. For whatever reason people compare the guitars as if they are the same.:dontknow:

Yep, we had to lovingly "massage" that area sometimes as well. I understand why people compare the two. It wasn't until I'd owned one of each that the differences became readily apparent. The Soloist is wider and has better upper fret access (obviously), at the cost of being slightly more uncomfortable (at least for me and my wonky wrists) to play while standing.
My Soloist was "the one that got away", unfortunately. Had to sell it to pay for some BS years ago. I paid $400 for mine, brand new, straight from our warehouse. Sort of. It was black, but had the hardware swapped out at the Custom Shop at some point with black hardware. So it was black on black like my soul.
