Guitar-to-stereo converter

I ran across this years ago, save the link, and forgot about it til I was cleaning old saved favorites out a couple of days ago. The idea holds merit, and I was re-kicking the idea around. The website seems old, and I've e-mailed the company to ask if its still in production. Have any of you ever come across one of these or had a chance to see one in action?

There was a discussion about high impedance vs. low impedance here a while back.

The hi-fi Stereo Receivers are low impedance and there in lies the problem of kids everywhere blowing up their parent's stereo system trying to run their guitar thru it..... :doh: This has been happening for years & the motivation for the product you highlight.

While this adpator will enable you to plug your guitar into a consumer stereo system, don't expect a great guitar sound. The guitar will probably be sterile clean.
