How comes when I have put my guitar aside for a while and then comes back, the strap has twisted AND CANNOT BY ANY MEANS BE REVERSED!??! Except taking one side off and putting it on properly, only to take my guitar off and come back and THEN ITS TWISTED AGAIN?=!?!?=!=!012ru90wfodshgnj

This has so often lately I decided to make a thread about it  :icon_tongue:

Your guitar stand is too close to a quasi-magnetic disturbance. Move it across the room.

Seriously, how about a description of your strap? Will it lay straight when it's off your axe? My daughter has a Levy strap that kind of does the same thing. When she sets her bass down, she has to set the strap a certain way so that when she picks it up again, it doesn't twist.

Why is it that weird stuff happens around musical equipment?

If you are using standard strap buttons then put a washer between strap button and strap so you lock your strap down firmly against the wood.

If it still behaves oddly then call exorcist or buy better strap.

lol, heh, is this post for real?

Straploks or not, it only takes but 2 seconds to undo one side of the strap and reattach it to the guitar properly.
You might also learn to recognize which way to untwist the strap based on the direction one side of the strap is facing, especially if each side is a noticeably different color, and thus negate the need to remove one side of the strap from the guitar.

But if you want to get real fancy, and move on to the more Advanced Strap Storage Care and Maintenance 201, remember to roll your strap up tightly from end to end when not in use, and you will not have any kinks.  :icon_thumright:
