And Phil Keaggys.

I like Keaggy, though I haven't listened to him in awhile.  But I would have to go with Lucky13's delivery lady first!  :blob7:

When I was thirteen, I made cardboard cutouts of what I thought were guitars. Dork  :tard:

When I was 13, I played a Fuji Gen SG copy.. I was so ashamed for owning an inferior japanese made copy!!!
but it was not as bad as the hondo owned by a friend of mine.. that was even worse..I made a lot of fun about that guitar!!

now both are very collectible and considered high quality guitars! (compared to what is currently build in china)

When I was thirteen I bought my first guitar for $250 dollars that I saved for two years. It was a Kramer Focus 2000 in candy apple red with floyd rose tail. I still have it to this day and is in the same condition it was when I bought it....unfortunatly it is still worth about 250

When I was 13, I wanted a guitar but my mom said no.  So I saved up some money and bought one anyways a year or two later.

Hey, me too! In freshman year, the school offered a guitar class. That's where it all officially started.

When I was 13, I got my first electric guitar and amp.  Purchased with stamps (e.g., like S&H Green Stamps). It was a cheap 335 copy and the amp was a joke, but I thought it was cool.

My first guitar was a rental....I tore it apart a week into owning it and it never sounded the same after that....lol

They came and took it back 2 months later.....hmmmm......

Smashed 3 electrics and 1 acoustic during various melt downs and sold about 15 electrics over the course of time......

Damn this shits expensive.....lol

Oh well its the creative/destructive process....its the experience and its always different for everyone at different times, I love it.  :party07:

I think I got my acoustic at 13, electric at 14 (Yamaha EG303), MiM Strat at 16, VIP at 31. I tossed the acoustic last year. It was a cheapie that needed a new nut, bridge, & frets. I doubt it cost more than $100 new.

I guess I started early... Got my first real guitar, Fender Acoustic pack, at about 11, 13 I got my first electric, a squire strat. The next year I bought my own Epiphone SG, then my Gretsch. This year I'm building my own. Not bad.
