Guitar hardware questions for my Warmoth build

I'm building a Charvel San Dimas type guitar, with a Strat style neck and rear routed body and I have a several questions about hardware. I can't decide whether to do the 1 11/16 or 1 3/4 nut first off. I have a Yamaha Pacifica 112 and I like the neck but I'd like a wider nut width on my Warmoth build, as the Yamaha is a little tight for my taste. I like Gibson SG necks honestly and I'd like to get close to that feel. I'm thinking about the steel 6100 frets but I'm worried about string wear. Also, what kind of fixed Strat style bridge do you guys recommend? I'm also using a DiMarzio X2N bridge and I want to be able to tap it for cleans, will a push pull style pot work for that? I may add another single at the neck but I'm not sure. I know I want  volume and tone knobs but I want to keep the controls as simple as possible. The simpler the better. Thx!

Get to a music store, find a neck with the string spacing that feels right to you, then measure the nut and bridge string spacing along with the neck thickness at the first and 12th frets.

I'd rather strings wear out than my frets. Having said that, if your SS frets are polished smooth like they should be, there's not much difference in string wear.

Gotoh makes some nice bridges. You could also do a TOM and string thru, but it wouldn't look like a strat.

gibsons (most) are 1 11/16.  Some jacksons are 1 3/4.  Like DBU said...play some at a store.  You will find 1 3/4 are harder to find.

From your other thread...it looks like you will be playing some metal.  Unless you are relly set on a fixed bridge, I would go with a locking unit like a floyd or kahler.  I think you would be much happier.

I love my SS frets...they are the way to go....

For the PU wiring, a push pull or a 3 or 5 position blade will work as well.  I did that for mine to tap two humbuckers into single coils.

Gotoh or hipshot make a nice looking simple string through hardtail bridge. Callaham makes a nice one with traditional bent saddles, but the string spacing is really wide - wider than an SG. Warmoths works great but doesn't look great imhop. Recessed TOM is a great look. Down with tremolos!
