BTW - I'm liking that 58 as well.  I like the red/brown burst - I don't like the typical JR super black edge.

I agree! That is one of the nicest looking ones I have seen and the guy who shot that burst in 58 was good at what he did.

Really? I always thought they were pretty cool. Had one almost identical to the one pictured back about 35 years ago. Loved it for a while, but it was such a one-trick pony and I was so broke I had to let it go to replace it with something a little more full-featured. I like simplicity in my guitars, but there's a limit.

That '58 is looking ace! The red line is so small, that you have to pay attention to see it, but it creates a kinda 3D effect! Me gusta!

I like double cut LP's, but killing the fingerboard exactly at the body edge - while not structural in reality, always makes me think the thing will break off if you look too hard at it.
