Grounding Problem?

Hi everyone. First post here. Just bought a strat body the other day, and then i found this gem of a site.

Anyways, I've got a 72 Tele Deluxe. I just put the original wide range humbuckers back into it. The neck pickup is fine but the bridge is being weird. The sound is normal, but when I touch the pickup, without touching the strings, it hums like crazy. When my hand is on the strings, it's fine. The neck doesnt do any of this. I figure it has to do with the grounding, but im not sure how to go about fixing this. Any suggestions?

Yep - it's a grounding issue.  The shell of your bridge pickup is missing it's ground.

Solder a small wire from the edge of the cover to the negative terminal on the pickup.  Either that or just run it all the way to ground.
