I picked up the Schaller Megaswitch M, I ordered the other day. This is a 5-way switch, that will go in to my guitar build. Soon ... soon ...
Small steps ...
Oh, sorry. Schallers Megaswitches are just their version of the 5-way superswitches, like the Oak Grigsby or Fender ones.
The difference is that the Schallers are sort of prewired inside, so that certain models of the Megaswitches does certain things, while the Oak Grigsby/Fender can do anything. They are all 4 pole switches.
But on the other hand you'll notice that the Schallers are quite slim. The width of the Oak Grigsby/Fender ones can sometimes be a problem to make them fit in some guitar cavities. Especially when all the wires get soldered on.
What the M-version will do for me is allow me to take the two humbuckers, bridge and neck and give me the parallel sounds in position 2 and 4.
See the HH8-wiring here (scroll down a bit on that page).
And since it's prewired inside, I don't have to connect wires and jumpers between the different lugs to do this.
But the plan is a 7/8 Strat, with a Mustang neck.
And if you want to talk specifics, I'll have two humbuckers, but strat-sized. And the bridge one will be reverse angled. But not black as in this mock-up from Warmoth (which is based on a full-sized Strat, since the 7/8 Strat builder doesn't allow me to see the version with pickguard and bridge and so on).
