Deal or no deal? I want a three saddle tele bridge, and the pickguard is an added bonus. At some point I would replace the saddles.

I would prefer to get a wilkinson from GFS with compensated brass saddles for 5 dollars more!!

With free pickguard? :icon_jokercolor:
I was leaning towards a fender bridge, but if I get this the pickups will be gfs.

Edit: If I think about it, I would need a pickguard anyway, so that saves me $15, and the wilkinson one is $5 more plus shipping(another $5?), so I would be saving $25 bucks or so?

At some point I think I'll lay down some dough for some rutters saddles, supposedly really good.

I was thinking these pickups. Anyone got any experience?

Ugh. I feel like I'm talking to myself here, which I probably am.

So I have dimarzio and lace sensor strat pickups I could use, the dimarzio sounds light and vintagy.

I HATED my Fender ashtray bridge.  It roared with microphonic feedback if I had any real amount of gain/volume.  The intonation with the uncompensated saddles drove me crazy as well (always just slightly out of tune when played higher up on the neck).  I replaced mine with a Joe Barden and haven't looked back.

My $0.02...

You're trading a minor savings for things you're saying you'll upgrade anyway - get the compensated saddles and the pickguard color/material you really want and be happier.

If. I did get the wilkinson bridge, I would replace the saddles, and the pg he has is fine. I'll probably use it to practice routing pickup routes. As for the bridge, if it still has problems after I replace the saddles, I'll replace it with a gfs, I've never had problems with gfs hardware.

why replace the saddles on the wilkinson... they are the best part about it! compensated and brass!!

we put one on Luke's Tele and it is great value for the money en way better than stock fender (especially HWY 1)
also, we put lil punchers in Luke's MIM Tele and they sound great!!

So I did, the deal, got it down to $20. I feel kind of bad, because I ignored all of your advice, but in the end, it was what I wanted.
