Okay, with the maple neck and the Floyd, a JAZZ will be too brittle-bright. It's perfect for an all mahogany guitar with a TOM/STP bridge.

The '59 should be fine.

The 59 shines in mahogany & alder bodies.

I had one in my Washburn N2, and it just sang so nicely. 
Every mahogany bodied guitar I've played it in is even nicer, more balanced.
