Going to University is awesome...

Last night it took my literally 20 minutes to create an Autodesk account and start to download AUTODESK INVENTOR PROFESSIONAL 2018 for free because of being a University student. It's so awesome. Now I can use that instead of a dodgy cheap program for my prototyping stuff.

$1,890 for one year, and I can use it as long as I have a University email account for free.

That's just awesome.  :icon_thumright:

did you pick up eagle cad as well?  Eagle is what I used for the PCBs for my little mixer project.

Oh thank you for telling me about that! I was looking for a PCB designer a month or two ago just to play around with and I didn't look around enough. Eagle CAD looks awesome.

Yea Auto desk bought Eagle this past year, presumably so that you could have better integration with your PCB and your mechanical design for the box around it.  Eagle is great for small stuff (4 layers or less).  I use it all the time.

Haha, see if you have access to SAS or JMP Pro; some serious money for a license (it was even fairly locked down from the university too-you had to be a grad student in the Stat department to get access). I had my work get a quote for both and our educational fee was too high to justify for one person.
