Glue for Brass Nut?

Heya
What adhessive would you recomend for a brass nut? Worth noting I'm planning on getting this guitar plek'd and having a plek nut installed (so this one will have to come off). I just want a nut on it for testing the pickups. The only slotted nut I have laying around is brass.

A nut will stay in place without glue from string tension

I used wood glue, we'll see how it goes. The nut pulls to one side as it's a right hand reverse headstock.

I've learned to not use a massive amount of wood glue, for any gluing. With a nut, whether it's brass, tusq or plastic, just a few tooth pick applied small dots to hold it on. If you ever have to work later, just use a hair dry, and soften it up a little bit. A super glue will take more effort to remove and could chip the wood. At least that's what've been told.
