Does anyone know where you can buy a shortened trem arm?

Or do you have to get a standard one shortened? If that is so, how is it done? :icon_scratch:

Many thanx for any info that can be provided.

Standard Fender length
6" from tip to center

"64" length
5 1/4" tip to center

Super Short Gilmour style length
4 1/8" tip to center

I'll have to pick that up.  I'd LOVE to get that "Black Strat" book too.

I've seen Black Strats that people have done that put mine to shame.  Relic'ed the same way, same pickups, including the little toggle switch under the volume knob, the whole works.  I didn't go nearly that far, I just wanted a good playing Strat that looks like his.  I doubt Gilmour would ever have a compound radius, locking tuners and giant SS frets on his!

What issue is this in?

Hey Cymbaline, don't know if you get Guitar Worl mag or not, but there is a sweet artical on Gilmore and his Black Strat. With a little bit of history on it and what it looks like today....
