Hey everyone,
I was a happy man a few weeks ago as I spent several hours at a local guitar center scrutinizing the tone of every pickup I could get my hands on.
After much deliberation, I purchased two Gibson BurstBucker 3 humbuckers. the ones I got have 4 conductors.
Now that I've been overhthinking it for a few weeks, I'm wondering if I'd be better served by two different types of pickups, a BB 2 and 3 for instance, instead of two 3's.
As far as the rest of the electronics are concerned, the setup will be 2 vol, 2 tone and a rotary switch, and the tone pots have switches for coil splitting.
I've never actually wired a guitar before (though I am quite handy with a soldering iron) and I'm wondering if maybe there might be a better pup combo out there for me.
Thanks for any input!
