GFS 335 Kit.

Will do, i've seen threads of their kits before, some come in really well but others have had substandard wood/milling quality or missing parts.

And thank you.

I've got a Hum pickup from GFS that is getting here tomorrow (Monday). But it's coming UPS so only the creator himself know when it will get here. I hate UPS, they could screw up a wet dream. Twice I have watched an order go into the regional sorting facility to disappear into thin air. Both times it arrived at the facility on a Sunday . . . While looking for a contact number for that facility on the internet, I came across a post from a guy who lost a package in that facility on the SAME Sunday. Methinks they need more supervisors in there on Sundays . . .

I always double check everything from them. So far everything I have got from them has been correct, but sometimes by the way it's packed it seems like the bits were pieced together. Like when one PU is in a sealed box and the other is open and wrapped differently . . . just little things like that.

Materials handling systems seem very simple on the surface, even for large systems, but they're not. Damnable humans can very easily make a serious mess out of them, and something will circulate around the system forever like some sort of zombified lost soul. You get a sorting system as large as UPS uses, and there can be miles of conveyor over acres of building several stories high. They're always barely in control. That things don't get lost more often than they do is a miracle.

Can't say I've ever gotten any trouble with lost or suspiciously packaged items with UPS, but I still don't like em'. They don't work on Saturdays and half the time they put up an out for delivery they seem to take it right back to the damn distribution center to be delivered the next day, or with my luck, Monday. Plus my best friend's father is a postal worker so I'm backing USPS all the way.

Also sweet to hear you gotta hum-a-comin'. Whatchya gettin'? (hoping you haven't already said earlier)

Cagey, I mean this with the utmost respect when I say I assume you are some kind of ghost in the system made up of the knowledge and patience of lost guitarists and forum posters who wanders for all eternity righting wrongs and spreading his wisdom to those in need. How close am I?

Hehe! No, I'm not a ghost. Not yet, anyway. Although, I've been close enough to be given Last Rites twice now.

But, the cat came back, the very next day
The cat came back - they thought he was a goner, but
The cat came back - he just couldn't stay away!

It's an Alnico II vintage output (7.6k) unpotted uncovered neck pickup.

It's replacing an Alnico V version of the same pickup. I tried a mixed set of AV neck and AII bridge (and vice versa)  and decided I didn't like it and I'm going with AII in both positions.

Some sites, and even banks prefer that the billing address you are using with the vendor matches the billing address on your credit card statement.
I encounter this phone inquiry frequently in my job.

You talked me into it. I need a ES335, or a 345, or a 355!  :laughing7:
Now I'm thinking whether I want to use the neck that comes with the kit, or fix it so I can mount a raw Warmoth neck.  :icon_scratch:  :sign13:

Sorry, been off a little while.

1. Gratz on the pups. Always loved the Alnico II vs Alnico V.

2. Makes sense, a lot easier to avoid fraud/ other issues if the billing addresses match.

3. Yes... You need a 335. You must have a 335. You hunger for it. You Crave it. You have awkward dreams you're afraid to tell anyone about because of it.

Also, not sure if it'll work with the hole "Long Tenon" Construction but if you can swing it, more power to ya.

Just checked UPS. It should be here THURSDAY!

I will be posting pictures shortly after arrival.

I may or may not be posing naked with the body and neck.

Mostly may.

Dig it. :glasses9:
